Krapp’s Last Tape centers on a solitary man revisiting his past through a series of old recordings. In preparing his last tape, Krapp must reckon with the gap between his youthful ambitions and his current reality, weighing the true cost of his obsessive pursuit of 'the light.'

In Footfalls, May paces back and forth in a narrow strip of light with obsessive rhythmic precision whilst carrying on a dialogue with the disembodied voice of her mother, who is dying— or perhaps already long dead?-– and considers the quiet tragedy of a life not lived to its full potential.
